Banners and posters were torn or painted over in black in an attempt to thwart publicity for the elections
In a statement to 'Ikhwanweb' Dr. Emad Mohamed spokesman for Qalyubeya MB condemned the incident asserting that the brutal campaign was a security breach against the Shura candidate encouraged by suspected members from the NDP. He added "These repressive practices are a complete violation of the Constitution and the law". He challenged the integrity of the electoral process maintaining that President Mubarak had assured the people that they would be free and fair. |
