Several Egyptian MP's were prompted to set out for Gaza carrying humanitarian aid to demonstrate to the world their full support for the Gazans under siege after an attack against the Freedom flotilla carrying aid in international waters by the Israelis resulting in 20 deaths among international activists

After the attack, convoys were dispatched throughout the region, and Egypt has temporarily opened the only available border to the Gazans allowing entry for treatment

The Egyptian opposition led by the MB is determined to fully open the Gaza border, and to lift the siege imposed by Israel
