Arab nations pledged support to end the Israeli siege on Gaza during the Arab-Turkey economic forum which took place Thursday in Istanbul

During the conference Turkey 's PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan urged Arab nations to unite and intensify efforts to take control and end the inhuman 4 year blockade on the Gaza Strip. He warned that there would be no peace and stability to the region so long as the Gaza siege continued

Erdogan repeated the appeal for an immediate international investigation to the Israeli massacre which killed 20 and injured dozens of activists on board the Gaza-bound aid ships. The attacked Miva Marmara had many peaceful international activists on board including Muslim Brotherhood parliamentarians Mohamed Beltagy and Hazem Farouk. The attack triggered international condemnations and prompted activists to strengthen their resolve in collecting aid for the Gazans, a call which has been on the Muslim Brotherhood priority list for years

Arab leaders including Egypt 's Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul Gheit and Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri echoed his call describing the siege on Gaza and the attack on the ship as 'barbaric and criminal'. Hariri demanded that Israel offer a formal apology
