Insurance and pension laws passed in parliament amid doubts

Parliamentary Speaker Fathi Sorour denied allegations by MPs from the Muslim Brotherhood bloc who accused the legislation of rushing through parliament stressing that there was no time for additional discussion
Youssef Boutros-Ghali, Finance minister denied accusations which alleged that the government was attempting to that the law represented an effort by the government to neglect its role as public protector In a related issue, a new social security law will be discussed by Social Solidarity Minister Ali Masalhi and the council of ministers prior to presenting it to the People's Assembly for ratification |
