Gaza, June 19, (Pal Telegraph) Israeli occupation authorities closed yesterday all commercial crossings with the Gaza Strip, at the time the number of goods allowed entry to the Gaza Strip raised up to 200 items, according to a Palestinian official.

On the other hand, the Egyptian authorities continue opening the Rafah crossing in both directions, which marks the first time in the history since the Hamas takeover in Gaza.

The Chairman of the Coordination Committee of goods entry into Gaza, Raed Fattouh, said in a press release "The Israeli authorities closed Gaza's border crossings yesterday and today to re-open it on Sunday morning."

He pointed out that although most goods are allowed entry fall within the consumer goods so far, excluding some items such as wood, aluminum and glass, but an increase in the number of such items is a "positive development", he added: "This development does not meet the actual needs of the Gaza Strip goods strategy, which is still forbidden, like the most important production inputs, raw materials and reconstruction materials."

He also assured that the number of goods which the Israeli authorities permitted entry estimated up to one hundred items, pointing out that the increase in the number of commodities did not translate into an increase in the number of trucks loaded with goods received which means that Gaza’s markets is bursting with these goods.
