Hassan addressed parliament speaker, Minister of Interior, Minister of Justice, Minister of State for Legal and Parliamentary Affairs, asserting that none of the detainees' families or lawyers know of their place of detention; asserting that only leaked news was attainable with allegations that several of them may be at the Security's headquarters in Madinat Nasr Cairo

The MP urged PM Ahmed Nazif to implement promises made at the People's Assembly, of restricting the use of the "emergency law" in Egypt to cases of terrorism and drug trafficking. He criticised the current measures practiced against citizens questioning the policy of indefinite detention, stressing that to date none of those detained last month have been charged with any crimes

Hassan argued that according to the  constitution the emergency law provides that any detainee be given the right to communicate with his lawyer and his family within 24 hours of the arrest, and most of these prisoners have been held for more than 30 days.

He emphasized that such illegitimate measures are clear example of the government complete disregard of international human rights laws and treaties
