Mishaal confers with Indonesian parliamentary delegation

Khaled Mishaal, the political bureau chairman of Hamas, conferred in Damascus on Friday with an Indonesian parliamentary delegation led by MP Hasanuddin, the head of the foreign and defense affairs committee.

A Hamas statement said that the delegates conveyed the Indonesian people's support for the Palestinian people and the country's incessant efforts to end the siege on Gaza.

Mishaal welcomed the guests and appreciated Jakarta's supportive positions of the Palestine cause.

The Indonesian parliament delegation had attended the extraordinary session for Islamic parliaments in the Syrian capital to coordinate efforts on means of breaking the Gaza siege.

It also paid a visit to Gaza where it met with Ismail Haneyya, the Palestinian premier, and Dr. Ahmed Bahar, the first deputy speaker of the Palestinian legislative council, along with other deputies and political figures.
