Arab Lawyers launched a campaign titled "Together to stop making human rights a way to prison” objecting to the security apparatuses continued violations against human rights activists in some Arab countries. The lawyers called on the ruling systems in Egypt , Syria , Yemen and Bahrain to release political detainees.

The group which held a meeting at Hesham Mubarak Centre for Law condemned the Arab regimes, in particular Syria for arresting human rights activists and trying them in Military Court . They called on all lawyers and honorable people, politicians and nationalists in the Arab world to sign the statement which condemns the violations and calls for ending the use of force against activists.

Ahmed Ragheb, Executive Director of the Centre, asserted that the campaigns objective was to expose the offending regimes especially with regards to the injustices practiced against civilians and detainees.
