The Aqsa foundation for endowment and heritage said that the Israeli occupation authority (IOA) intends to build a compound of courts on another part of Maman Allah cemetery near Al-Khalil Gate, west of occupied Jerusalem.

The cemetery is considered the oldest and largest Muslim graveyard in Palestine and includes graves of the companions of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Over 62 years, the Israeli occupation embarked on digging up Muslim graves in this historical cemetery and built in their place gardens, parking lots, a museum, hotels, bars, schools and many other structures.

The Aqsa foundation affirmed that the compound will include huge buildings for the Magistrates' court and the central court.

The foundation described this act as a religious war declared by the Israeli occupation against every Muslim in the world.

In another incident in the holy city, the Jerusalem committee of the Palestinian ministry of religious affairs warned that Israel plans to make comprehensive changes in the Buraq square in Jerusalem in the context of a bigger Judaization scheme aimed at turning the holy city into the most prominent Jewish shrine in the world.

The committee stated Monday that Jerusalem and its people are exposed to a real danger, especially after Israel escalated its Judaization activities in an unprecedented way.

It added that Israel lately demolished 88 Palestinian homes in Jerusalem and displaced 1,500 Palestinians from Silwan area, near the Aqsa Mosque.
