Hebrew press reports IOF preparations for new war on Gaza
The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) have completed preparations for launching a new war on the Gaza Strip, according to Hebrew daily Yediot Ahronot on Saturday.

The daily said on its website that the IOF was preparing for a war "in the south" in the event military escalation occurred. The paper quoted army sources as saying that despite the relative calm yet the issue (of new war) was still in mind, noting that a biannual report by the southern command noted a reduction of rocket firing from Gaza in the first six months of this year compared to the previous years. The latest Israel war on Gaza in late 2008 and early 2009 killed 1400 Palestinians mostly civilians and wounded around 6000 others and completely destroyed the coastal enclave's infrastructure. |
