In the first action of its a kind, the state security forces arrested, on Friday afternoon, two publishers in the Cairo International Book Fair.

In the first action of its a kind, the state security forces arrested, on Friday afternoon, two publishers in the Cairo International Book Fair.


The two Muslim Brotherhood publishers are Mohamed Abu Agour (47 years), owns Mansoura-based Al-Kalima publishing house and Ahmed Mahmoud (45 years) owns Mansoura-based Badr publishing house and is the executive and financial manager of Al-Wafaa publishing house, one of the biggest publishing houses in Egypt.


It is worth noting that the arrests are taking place a mid a crackdown that included Muslim Brotherhood businessmen in addition to shutting down their companies under the pretext of preventing them from funding MB activities. Some sources estimated the damages out of this crackdown to nearly about 7 billion pounds, the size of Muslim Brotherhood business activities in Egypt .
