The Muslim Brotherhood's online petition has collected over 500, 000 signatures 35 days into its launching. The MB chairman Dr. Mohamed Badie initiated the petition calling for change in their 7 demands for reform in a decision to participate collectively with political opposition who have united in an attempt to pressure the regime in complying with their demands for political reform and constitutional amendments.
Among the seven points of the charter backed by the Brotherhood include: 1. Ending the state of emergency Badie called on the nation to participate and become an effective element in society for Egypt 's wellbeing which will benefit each and every citizen. He stressed that it was up to the Egyptian people describing it as a national duty to support the campaign which calls for the elimination of corruption, the prevention of electoral fraud, the ending of torture, and the maintaining of the Egyptian citizen's dignity at home and abroad by ending the state of emergency. |
