2000 soldiers from Gharbiya security forces staged a hunger strike protesting at the bad treatment they are receiving from commanders, especially after one of their colleague committed suicide by shooting himself to death due to this.

Garbiya prosecution revealed that the recruit Amir Hassan Mostafa, 22 years, shot himself and died affected by the his wounds before reaching the Mahalla public hospital. This took place amid a public state of anger that he and other soldiers feel due to the commanders. Injuries among other recruits rose for the same reason, and cases of hysteria increased to the extent that they are threatening with committing similar actions.

Moga.com correspondent was informed that Gharbiya security chief moved to the scene in an attempt to end the recruits sit-in which started to spread in a way that presages a nationwide disaster .

It is worth mentioning that the cases of committing suicide among recruits in the same camp in El-Mahalla El-Kubra recurred, the latest of which was last week when a recruit shot at himself, and seriously injuring himself.
