AMMAN, -- The Jordan branch of the Lifeline 5 convoy to Gaza leaves the country’s capital of Amman on Monday and join the mother convoy from Europe during its stop in Syria before heading out to Gaza through the Egyptian El Arish port.

Lifeline 5 is the fifth and largest humanitarian aid mission organized by the British Viva Palestina organization. It will include delegations from Europe, Gulf countries, and Africa.

Headed by trade union veterinarians' chief Dr. Abdel Fattah al-Kaylani and former MP Azzam al-Huneidi, the Jordan wing includes 138 members from Kuwait, Qatar, and Oman.

The group will accompany around 60 truckloads of urgent humanitarian and medical aid.
