The Higher State Security Prosecution jailed, on Monday, Dr. Mohamed Ali Beshr, the Muslim Brotherhood Executive Bureau member, and five others 15 days pending trial .
The prosecution investigated with MB leaders, while Dr. Mohamed Ali Beshr refused to answer questions in front of the prosecution which accused him of investing money for the Muslim Brotherhood, and state security allegations of participating in money laundry .

It is worth mentioning that the Egyptian security services have recently launched heated crackdowns in the lines of the Muslim Brotherhood group, the latest of which included Dr. Beshr along with Dr.  Essam Hashish, a professor in the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University and an MB leader in Giza.

Police also arrested a number of businessmen and MB leaders in the governorates of Cairo and Alexandria, including Medhat Al-Haddad, Director of Arabiya for Construction Co., Osama Abdul Mohsen Sharby, Director of Egilica Tourism Co., Dr. Abd Al-Rahman Saudi, Director of Urban Development Co., and Dr. Khaled Awda, a businessman and a professor at the Faculty of Science, Asyut University and the son of martyr Abdul Qader Awda, MB legend who was executed by president Nasser in the 1950s

The new detentions among Muslim Brotherhood members are part of fierce government campaign against the group which began by the arrest of Khayrat Al Shater, Deputy Chairman, and extended to many high profile figures in society including scientists, college professors, and businessmen.
