In another violation of the constitution and the law, state security engaged in a ransacking frenzy this time in Alexandria. A company owned by Muslim Brotherhood member was raided and searched for over six hours by a large number of forces resulting in the closure and sealing of the company on the grounds that it was not licenced.

The company’s owner engineer Mahmoud Fowzy denied that his company was unlicensed asserting that his company “Thomas” has been open for over 15 years and all legal documents concerning his business were in order.

In a related context police officials also in Alexandria detained Ahmed Fouda from the MB after he was applying for an electoral card at police headquarters. Two other MB members, Mahmoud Hanafi and Hany Sedeek were also brought in by security and taken to unknown destinations.

The fierce escalating campaign against members of the MB comes just days after Dr. Mohamed Badie MB chairman confirmed the group would take part in the elections and after names of fielded candidates were announced in numerous constituencies.
