Security forces in Kafr El Sheik abducted two prominent MB leaders in broad daylight today. They were taken to an unknown destination hours after prosecution issued release orders to 5 other MB members who were arrested Tuesday, while they were posting banners calling for reform.

Despite instructions for their, release security defied the order releasing only two of the detainees who are lawyers while the rest remain in custody.

The MB group has faced escalating animosity by the Interior Ministry through its security apparatus with arrests, raids and closures of MB owned businesses after the MB chairman Dr. Mohamed Badie announced that the group would participate in the parliamentary elections. The last count indicates that 176 members have been hauled in so far by security. Although 70 political detainees were released the rest remain unjustly detained waiting investigations with the host of fabricated accusations the group is accustomed to.
