The Muslim Brotherhood's defense team has called for the release of MB detainee, Engineer Nasser Ramadan Saeed, on poor health grounds. Saeed is currently detained at the Aswan police station pending investigations in case no. 6621 scheduled for 2010.

Lawyer, Taha Sayed, has ascertained that Saeed is ill and suffers from shortness of breath in addition to other illnesses. He is kept in very poor conditions and shares a cell with more than 20 criminal detainees who insist on smoking. Saeed added that, despite his poor health, the prison administration refused to respond to doctor's requests that he be transferred to hospital.

Before his arrest Saeed was scheduled to undergo heart surgery.
