On Thursday, October 28, 2010 university guards in Assiut University abducted two activists from the National Association for Change (NAC) while they were hanging banners calling for the signing of the seven demands agreed upon by Egyptian national forces.

 On Thursday, October 28, 2010 university  guards in Assiut University abducted two activists from the National Association for Change (NAC) while they were hanging banners calling for the signing of the seven demands agreed upon by Egyptian national forces.

Ahmed Gamal and Mohamed Hamdy were arrested and detained until late at night in the office of the head of the university guards. They were attacked and searched and had their IDs, mobile phones and all banners confiscated.
 
Reem el-Hawary, media spokesman of NAC in Assiut, said, “The actions of the security guards against NAC activists reflect a state of confusion and turmoil, especially after the decision to end the service of security guards in universities.The more we are attacked, the stronger we will get and the more we will work for change.”
