Safwan Mohamed, a long-time activist for Dr. Mohamed ElBaradei founder of the National Association for Change and one of his first supporters was hauled in by Security forces in Alexandria this morning.

 Safwan Mohamed, a long-time activist for Dr. Mohamed ElBaradei founder of National Association for Change and one of his first supporters was hauled in by Security forces in Alexandria this morning.

Mohamed was detained after he was seen putting up NAC stickers in front of the National Womens' Council. He was later taken to an undisclosed location.
 
As elections near the regime has demonstrated that it is unable to engage in transparent elections where numerous hindrances take place intimidating political opposition. Other members from the opposition mainly the Muslim Brotherhood have also faced arbitrary arrests and unjust detentions.
