Media spokesman for the Muslim Brotherhood, Dr. Essam El-Erian, has affirmed that the group will continue to struggle peacefully for free and fair elections and to achieve the desired changes in Egypt.

Security forces have stepped up their crackdown against supporters of MB candidates and have arrested dozens in the governorates of Ismailia, Monoufeya, Beheira, Alexandria and 6th of October.

In an exclusive statement to Muslim Brotherhood's "The Voice of Egypt", El-Erian said that the National Democratic Party (NDP) is not a political party, explaining that the NDP will not hesitate to violate the Egyptian people's rights, individually and collectively.

He also maintained that the violent and repressive measures of the Egyptian government against MB members are not new and brothers are able to legally and peacefully overcome them.

El-Erian underlined that the Muslim Brotherhood will not be intimidated by arrests and will continue to fight corruption in an attempt to attract the Egyptian masses to adopt its platform.
