 In TV interviews President Mubarak's son, Gamal denied any affiliation to campaigns supporting him as a potential president candidate.

He addressed the questions asserting that the ruling National Democratic Party would choose its candidate for the 2011 presidential bid according to a comprehensible and clear institutional process asserting that he has no political ambition.
 
During the interview he commended the party's internal reform and new leadership.
