In what has come to be a disturbing pattern during the last few days, Egyptian security forces clashed yet again yesterday with a peaceful publicity campaign for Muslim Brotherhood candidates vying for seats in the parliamentary polls.

MB candidate for the women's quota, Dr Manal Hassan, and Engineer Essam Mokhtar once again had security disrupting their rally and unjustly arresting 9 MB supporters just 45 minutes after the rally began.

A young child was among those hauled in by security forces making it the second incident in two days where forces also arrested a primary school student in the governorate of Daqahliya.
