Arrests and Attacks Continue on Election Rallies in Daqahliya and Gharbeya

Security forces yesterday released Mohammed Abdul Baqi, a member of the MB parliamentary bloc for Talkha, Daqahliya, after being abducted by security forces during a rally for Muslim Brotherhood candidates in Talkha: Abdel-Mohsen Kamhawi and the group's candidate for the women's quota, Maysa El Gohary.

Security forces yesterday released Mohammed Abdul Baqi, a member of the MB parliamentary bloc for Talkha, Daqahliya, after being abducted by security forces during a rally for Muslim Brotherhood candidates in Talkha: Abdel-Mohsen Kamhawi and the group's candidate for the women's quota, Maysa El Gohary.
 

Governmental security forces backed by thugs have attacked supporters of MB candidates in Talkha, resulting in injuries after swords, bladed weapons, tear gas and live bullets were used to disperse the rally.

Security forces also detained Sorour Bashir,Kamal Bayoumi, an employee in Talkha electricity station; Hassan Mansour, a teacher; Issam Shata, an employee in Talkha city council and Hamada El-Shahat, El Gohary's driver.
 Fathy Abdul Wahab and Islam Gomaa were seriously injured after their car crashed. They were taken to hospital for treatment.

 In a related incident, security forces arrested more than 40 supporters of Saad Al Husseini, a member of the MB executive bureau and its candidate for Bandar El-Mahalla.

 Egyptian security forces also surrounded an election rally organized by MP Saad Al Husseini in Kafr Hegazy village in which tear gas and live bullets were used to break up the rally.

 Authorities quickly imposed a curfew in parts of the village and prevented people from attending El-Husseini's conference.
