Dr Mohamed Morsy media spokesman for the Muslim Brotherhood said that the group recently met with opposition factions to legitimately collaborate and decide on measures regarding parliamentary elections Morsy asserted that the group were open to cooperation with any opposition including Copts highlighting that deals have in fact been made with them in the past. According to Morsy if there was integrity in the polls the group would be able to secure 75 seats of the seats open however in light of current actions by security he doubted there would be transparency in elections despite assurances by NDP officials. Morsy denied rumours of bonafide collaboration with security since it was inappropriate to deal with security after they were daily arresting, detaining and harassing MB members in the run up to elections.
