Attempt to Burn the House of MB Candidate's Supporters and the Kidnap of Three
In clear violation of the law on political rights, supporters of the National Democratic Party candidate, Ahmed Mustafa Al-Reedy, in Meidum village El-Wasta, Beni Suef governorate, threw firebombs made from cotton and firewood mixed with kerosene into the house of a supporter of MP Mohamed Shaker Al-Deeb for El-Wasta, leaving his house in flames.

In clear violation of the law on political rights, supporters of the National Democratic Party candidate, Ahmed Mustafa Al-Reedy, in Meidum village El-Wasta, Beni Suef governorate, threw firebombs made from cotton and firewood mixed with kerosene into the house of a supporter of MP Mohamed Shaker Al-Deeb for El-Wasta, leaving his house in flames. Villagers managed to extinguish the fire which broke out in places that were hard to reach. A few hours ago, Egyptian security forces arrested three supporters of MB candidate, El-Deeb, as the fierce campaign continues that started before dawn on Sunday with Egyptian police arresting four supporters of MB candidates throughout the country. Security forces abducted a 17-year-old student, Ahmed Mohammed, and a teacher, Ahmed Amin, from the street. |
