A five-year-old girl was hit by a vehicle that was part of a convoy supporting a NDP candidate in Port Said.

The child was in a serious condition on reaching Al-Suleiman hospital and was denied entry by the hospital’s administration and transferred to Port Said General Hospital 40 km away. The young girl, Sarah Maher Hassan Shamy, was pronounced dead on arrival.

Residents have asked the help of MB MP Dr Akram Al-Shaer to interfere and insist that there be an immediate investigation and to hold those responsible accountable.

Al-Shaer promised to follow up on the investigation and to continue his call for the approved proposal of establishing a hospital to serve the people in the district
