Dr Mohamed Badie has confirmed that the Muslim Brotherhood will continue to work to serve Egypt and its people regardless of the consequences and despite all the obstacles.

In an international press conference the Muslim Brotherhood’s chairman thanked the people of Egypt who rallied around the MB candidates and supported them.

He called on the people not to be discouraged, stressing that although they were unsuccessful in securing seats in parliament they succeeded in exposing the ruling regime’s deceit and fraud.

The group’s media spokesman, Dr Mohammed Morsy, announced that the MB would publicize the group’s decision concerning the second round of elections which are scheduled for Sunday December 5. It is expected that 27 MB candidates will contest in the rerun from 13 different governorates.

Morsy described the Higher Elections Commission as failing to protect the electoral process and losing credibility after it announced the elections as free and fair.
