Dr. Abdallah Al-Ashal, former minister of foreign affairs expressed his happiness at the MB’s decision to withdraw from the re-elections in objection to the rigging of the results in the first round. Dr. Al-Ashal stressed that there is a political decision by the government to exclude the MB, pointing out that the ruling party sees that the presence of the MB in the parliamentary elections would cause problems, especially at the beginning of the presidential elections and also because the MB announced that it is against fraud and aims at combating corruption and tyranny.
Al-Ashal praised the MB’s decision to run for the first round of the elections which exposed the violations of the ruling party. He called on the parties which won in the first round, or is going in the re-elections round to announce its withdrawal from the elections that have proven to be a farce. Councillor Mahmoud Al-Khodairy, former vice-president of the Court of Cessation, described the MB’s decision as the right decision which came at the right time after the ruling party was exposed in this battle which showed that the ruling party cares only about itself.
