![]() MB candidates submit close to 400 poll appeals
The total number of appeals made by Muslim Brotherhood candidates in the 2010 Parliamentary elections reached 374. The appeals were submitted to the Administrative Courts and the Supreme Administrative Judicial Court during the period between the promotion for the elections, registration and the announcement of the results.

The total number of appeals made by Muslim Brotherhood candidates in the 2010 Parliamentary elections reached 374. The appeals were submitted to the Administrative Courts and the Supreme Administrative Judicial Court during the period between the promotion for the elections, registration and the announcement of the results. One hundred and forty-four appeals were submitted to stop the elections and also stop the announcement of the results. Eight appeals were submitted regarding certificates, 32 for inclusion of names, 98 for obtaining agencies, 12 for adopting agencies of deputies in electoral committees, 29 for election promotions, 10 for changing the description as well as 41 appeals for controlling the electoral process. Other rulings were issued to stop the elections and the results in most constituencies of the following governorates: 6th October City, Giza, Daqahleya, Fayoum, and services area other constituencies in the east of Cairo. Orders to stop the election were also issued for some constituencies in both Gharbeya and Bani Suef governorates.
