A group of political activists launched a new page on the social networking site, Facebook, to conduct a popular referendum through which they will choose the country's worst figures who are abusing their power and facilitating the spread of corruption. The page is entitled "FASAD or CORRUPT AWARD 2010" in the occupied Egyptian territories. Participants will nominate the worst characters in many different areas as it will encompass ministries, police stations, newspapers and TV programs. Voting will be run to choose the qualifying names.

The competition identified 15 areas through which participants can select the country's most blatant corruptors and thieves in every field, including: the worst corrupt politician, minister, governor, parliamentarian, opponent, writer, anchor, broadcaster, artist, Dean of a Faculty, rector, TV show, political party, police station and newspaper.
