Sabri Amer, media spokesman of the former Muslim Brotherhood (MB) parliamentary bloc in Monoufeya, stated that the group has decided to establish a Parliamentary Action Society beginning its work in Monoufeya and extending to other governorates in Egypt, adding that it "aims to attain the objectives of the "shadow parliament" in a legal way.

Amer maintained that the association aims to politically educate the society, raise awareness and discuss their problems, noting that its headquarters is allocated in the city of Shebin El-Kom, where steps are currently being taken to finish its declaration.

"The Assembly will be joined by 9 former MB MPs from Monoufeya, in addition to opposition and MB candidates for the recent parliamentary elections", he said, noting that a lawsuit will be filed against the Directorate of Social Solidarity before the Administrative Court in Shebin El-Kom if they refuse to authorize it.
