The North Cairo court has ordered Thursday the confiscation of the Former Minister Habib Al-Adly’s fortune and has temporarily suspended his family’s assets including real estate and investments.

According to reports the minister who was fired by the ousted Mubarak is worth eight billion Egyptian pounds accumulated through illegitimate means.

Demonstrating police officers earlier this month asserted they were given orders by him to attack demonstrators and blamed him for much of the corruption in the force demanding that he be executed.

Al-Adly currently under house arrest however has denied the accusations. He has been banned from leaving the country.

The notorious former minister has also been accused of playing a role in the bombing of Alexandria's Qeddesinne Church on New Year’s Eve.
