New Culture Minister: MB peaceful and moderate group
Newly appointed Culture Minister Mohamed Abdel-Moneim El Sawy has denied rumours about his affiliation to the Muslim Brotherhood.

He characterised himself as a person who appreciated religion just like any Muslim or Christian person loved their religion. He criticised the former regime which neglected religion from its agenda and opposed any religious group as if it was some kind of shame or danger to the country. Newly appointed Culture Minister Mohamed Abdel-Moneim El Sawy has denied rumours about his affiliation to the Muslim Brotherhood. However he did praise the group describing it as a peaceful, patriotic and tolerant movement.
