Oldest Ever Egyptian MP: Gamal Abdel Nasser Masterminded Mansheya Incident to Get Rid of Brothers

Egypt's oldest parliamentarian Major Abdul-Aziz Abdul-Rauf said that he resigned from his post as a Major in the Egyptian State Security Service because they oppressed people, confiscated their property and arrested opponents.

 Egypt's oldest parliamentarian Major Abdul-Aziz Abdul-Rauf said that he resigned from his post as a Major in the Egyptian State Security Service because they oppressed people, confiscated their property and arrested opponents.
 
Egypt's Central Security Police Forces were established by Gamal Abdel Nasser to maintain and increase his powers. It was the greatest calamity that befell Egyptians because the police's allegiance was to the Interior Minister. Alexandria's Mansheya incident was planned by Gamal Abdel Nasser to arrest his rivals from the Muslim Brotherhood.
 
"I have resigned from my post at a time when I was a 31-years-old by a presidential decree from late President Gamal Abdel Nasser to enter parliament," Major Abdul-Rauf said, adding that this, in turn, enabled me to have a larger pension at that time. I ran in the race and obtained a seat in the 1957 parliament that enabled me to assume the post of Deputy of the People's Assembly's Defense and National Security Committee.

Therefore, I decided to resign even though I was successful and my accomplishments were being taught in the Faculty of law," Abdul Rauf said. I was very angry when I left the Criminal Investigation Department and was transferred from Alexandria to Cairo for work in the State Security Service.
 
Most arrests were made against the Brothers because they were politically estranged from Abdel-Nasser. I was an eyewitness to Alexandria's Mansheya incident, and that time I was in the Criminal Investigation and saw the person who shot Abdel Nasser. Indeed, first, shots were fired into the air, but Abdel Nasser fell back and it is a fact that it did not target Nasser, but a lawyer present next to Abdel Nasser.
