A group of activists launched a campaign on “Facebook” to dissolve the State Security Services called “The National Campaign to Abolish the State Security Services”.

The activists stated that their campaign aims at dissolving the security apparatuses which used to carry out systematic torture of youth activists and politicians.

They called for the trial of the leadership in the State Security services, pointing out that those working there give themselves illegal and unacceptable authorities, particularly the right to randomly arrest people under the excuse of suspicion. The number of detainees during the last twenty years reached 20,000.

In their group, they called for organizing a mass protest next Wednesday in front of the headquarters of Al-Doqqi State Security Services at 3pm and called to have it dissolved and condemn the policy of arrests that is happening now against the youth of the revolution until very recently in Tahrir Square.
