A sit in is scheduled to take place in front of the Armed Forces supreme council demanding the immediate release of MB deputy Chairman Eng. Khairat Al-Shater.

The detainee’s daughter Hafsa Al-Shater stated that 300 family members and others will meet at the Gamal Abdul Nasser mosques at 11 am before heading towards their scheduled destination.

Al-Shater was served an unjust 7 year prison sentence after he was transferred to a military tribunal by the ousted Mubarak despite receiving numerous civilian court acquittals. The deputy chairman has had health setbacks since his detention.

A few days ago he suffered a heart attack after engaging in a heated debate with prison guards who refused to allow him and his colleagues their exercise session on the grounds that the former corrupt ministers were then out of their cells for fresh air.
