Egypt's prosecutor mulls Justice Minister's probe
A judicial source has revealed that Egyptian Prosecutor General Abdel Meguid Mahmoud intends to examine a complaint lodged by 56 judges against Minister of Justice Mamdouh Marei accusimg him of interfering in some cases a courtesy to officials and former ministers, as well as abusing his power and profiteering from his job.

 A judicial source has revealed that Egyptian Prosecutor General Abdel Meguid Mahmoud intends to examine a complaint lodged by 56 judges against Minister of Justice Mamdouh Marei accusimg him of interfering in some cases a courtesy to officials and former ministers, as well as abusing his power and profiteering from his job.
 
According to a source, who asked for anonymity due to the sensitivity of the matter, the Prosecutor is to take a number of procedures before making a decision to investigate with Marei.


He is expected to summon 56 judges and listen to their statements, as well as judge Ahmed Shawky el Shalakany, assistant to the justice minister for anti-graft institution on his remarks in which he asserted that Justice Minister Mamdouh Marei interfered on graft cases and prevented him from completing his investigation with some officials and businessmen because he asked them to provide their own financial disclosure
