The head of the Supreme Judiciary Committee which supervised the vote announced the referendum results which Egyptians participated in making it the first time in Egypt’s history the foregone conclusion is unknown
In total, 18,537,954 Egyptians voted out of around the 45m eligible voters, making the turnout 41 per cent participation.
The final count of the referendum revealed that 77.2% of Egyptians voted Yes and approved the constitutional changes paving the way for early elections.
The referendum is recognized as a milestone on the course drafted by the military toward parliamentary and presidential elections. The military has previously hinted that parliamentary elections could happen in September, with the presidential vote after that
