Councilor Dr. Abdel Megid Mahmoud, the Attorney General, stressed that the prosecution decided to summon the former President Hosny Mubarak and his family, Dr. Fathy Sorour; former chairman of the parliament, Safwat El-Sheirf; former head of the Shura Council and Zakareya Azmy; head of the President’s office.

Councilor Dr. Abdel Megid Mahmoud, the Attorney General, stressed that the prosecution decided to summon the former President Hosny Mubarak and his family, Dr. Fathy Sorour; former chairman of the parliament, Safwat El-Sheirf; former head of the Shura Council and Zakareya Azmy; head of the President’s office.

 They will be summoned to be investigated, following the receipt of many complaints against them. The Attorney General confirmed that members of the prosecution are not under the authority of any government institution or under any pressure in their work.

 He stressed that there are 20 prosecutions actively working to investigate the cases and complaints of corruption in order to bring to justice to the perpetrators.
 
 The Councilor ascertained that no one will escape justice and being held accountable.

 The General Prosecution has ordered to freeze the assets of Mubarak and his family and the confiscation of their money and the money of some officials abroad.
