Dr. Essam El-Erian, media spokesman of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB), stressed that the program of the Freedom and Justice party came to avoid the draft of the MB that was made four years ago.

He told Ikhwanweb that the Egyptian society read the former program with aggressive criticism and only focused on the Islamic part without looking at the general regulations, pointing out that the MB benefitted from the previous comments and notes.

He also said: “We put this program which is applicable in reality to run the country. It has basic principles which are not bound to change and others which could change according to the changing economic conditions in the country.”

He pointed out that the final form of the new party will be discussed again by the Shura Council of the MB to be amended and approved.
