Eng. Omar Abdullah, representative of the MB in the Engineers Syndicate, denied news that the MB has decided on the number of seats they want to run for in the elections of the Engineers Syndicate.

Abdullah told Ikhwanweb that the policy of the MB will be to run in the elections as a way of participating without having the aim to win. The MB is looking to form a national list, including all political and non-political trends. This would end scepticism on the attempts of the MB to take over the current or next council in the Syndicate.

Members of the Engineers Syndicate in Cairo discussed the possibility of holding a special general assembly next week to decide on a date for the elections, according to the laws of the syndicate, especially after the Constitutional Court abolished law No. 100 of 1993 on the Unions’ elections.
