Muslim Brotherhood’s media spokesman Dr. Mahmoud Ghozlan stated that the electoral law announced by SCAF was a breach to article 41 which stipulated that candidates seeking election would register for candidacy September 30, while under the new decree, candidates would begin registering October 12.

In a statement to Ikhwanweb, Ghozlan stressed that stretching the electoral timeframe indicates the tardiness of the transitional period following the success of the Revolution.

“The MB’s Executive Bureau is expected to meet Wednesday to discuss the group’s stance towards the electoral amendments and the upcoming phase,” he told Ikhwanweb.
