A meeting was held, this afternoon, in a hotel in the capital Cairo between presidential candidate Mohamed Morsi and former candidates Hamdeen Sabbahi and Abdel Moneim Aboul Fotouh.

The meeting discussed courses of interaction with the events and developments of the current stage, especially the shocking verdicts for heads and senior figures of the former regime.

Attendees underscored the need to respond to the demands of the masses who came out to liberty squares across the homeland. The most important of these demands is a re-trial.

This means providing new evidence, and bringing to justice those accused of conniving with the defendants by hiding evidence, including the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior during that period, who are now seeking to abort the Revolution.

Attendees also underlined the need for political and legal isolation of all those who contributed to corruption of political life under the former regime.

The Morsi campaign stresses the need to continue to line up behind the candidate of the revolution and to affirm that the best guarantee of the integrity of the runoff will be through positive participation of all citizens.

All attendees agreed to continue consultations with all political forces and stakeholders in the hope of forming a national front uniting all against attempts to restore the corrupt former regime.

They also agreed to participate in national million-man protests for all the political players and stakeholder planned for tomorrow Tuesday June 5.

Dr. Morsi’s presidential campaign assures that it will continue its activities until the runoff is over.
