Khalid Al-Azhari, Minister of Manpower and Immigration, assured that the Ministry is keen to aid all Egyptians abroad without discrimination. "The new Egypt seeks to build new bridges with Egyptians abroad, Muslims and Copts. The Church will always be a spiritual reference revered by Egyptians, just as they revere Muslim places of worship and Al-Azhar."
This came during a meeting with a delegation of heads of Evangelical Churches in Germany, in the presence of representatives of the Egyptian communities in Switzerland, Saudi Arabia and Japan.
Azhari assured that he stands at the same distance from all Egyptian communities abroad, with the goal of serving the higher interest of the homeland and Egyptian expatriates as Egypt's real wealth of accumulated experience gained through exposure to different cultures, who now can contribute effectively to real renaissance back home. |
