In a press statement, Dr. Mohamed Saad Katatni, Chairman of the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), urged all national forces and political parties to support the new government, regardless of agreement or disagreement with its set-up, pointing that the political situation and economic challenges require a concerted effort to address and overcome serious issues.

"I call on all political forces to put their differences aside and deal with the new government with only one aim: crossing the current economic crisis without delay."

Dr. Katatni further urged Egyptian experts at home and abroad to actively aid and participate in positive support of the new cabinet, saying, "The FJP puts all the expertise, experience and technical capabilities of its members at the disposal of the new government, and undertakes to provide all support in order for the Egyptian people to safely get beyond the transitional period.

"I hope the new government commits to consultation with Egypt’s political parties and stakeholders on the country’s important issues, and avoids unilateral action of the last few months. I do offer my best wishes to the new government and its head for great success."
