Freedom and Justice Party Decides on Coalition Possibilities for Upcoming Parliamentary Elections

Egypt’s FJP National Committee leaves door open for coordination and coalition possibilities in upcoming parliamentary race, following Thursday’s regular session.

During its regular meeting Thursday, the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP)’s National Committee issued a number of important decisions, including the approval – in principle – of coordination and alliances with political parties and public figures, commissioning the FJP’s Executive Office to take relevant executive action as necessary after the party’s secretariats in provinces across Egypt give their opinions.

Furthermore, the FJP’s National Committee decided to set up a workshop to study the democratic benefits resulting from the adoption of the new Constitution. The workshop is also to study the adoption of the Financial Regulation, taking into account the observations made by members of the FJP’s National Committee.
