Press Statement from Ennahdha Head Rached Ghannouchi's Office

Following the despicable crime against the leader of the Patriotic Democrats, the late Chokri Belaid, may God have mercy on his soul, some rushed to accuse Ennahdha Party and its leader Rached Ghannouchi without any evidence, driven by blind hatred and the avoidance of revealing the real perpetrators.

We offered our condolences to the family of the deceased and understand the state of shock at the tragic events that have befallen some of them, which may have led them to engage in the wave of unfounded allegations, and pray that God grants them patience at this difficult time.

However, we intend to begin judicial action to sue all those who accuse Mr Rached Ghannouchi, head of Ennahdha Party, be they politicians or journalists who are exploiting the blood of deceased for narrow political ends at the expense of the truth, the revelation of the real perpetrators, and the protection of Tunisia and its revolution from the schemes plotted against it through this hateful crime.
