Abdel-Moneim Abdel-Maksoud, Muslim Brotherhood lawyer, filed a formal complaint with Justice Talaat Abdullah, the Egyptian Public Prosecutor, against 169 people, including political party chiefs, politicians and paid thugs who stand accused of involvement in the bloody attacks and clashes of Cairo’s Moqattam district, last Friday, which led to dozens getting wounded, some very seriously, and dozens dragged and abducted and detained inside mosques and buildings in a scene never witnessed in Egypt ever before.

In his 32-page complaint, the Brotherhood lawyer asked the Public Prosecutor to hear statements from 276 victims who suffered various injuries or were abducted, and to inspect the cars that were burned completely, and the mosques and buildings that were besieged, stormed, looted and destroyed.

Abdel-Maksoud also requested that the Public Prosecutor should ask the Ministry of the Interior to duly investigate relevant events and facts and identify the perpetrators, as well as all those responsible for and involved in the criminal attacks and clashes, and those who incited and instigated the violence by calling for it using print and broadcast media, social networking sites and YouTube.

The Brotherhood lawyer submitted to the Prosecution a set of CDs, containing evidence in the form of 54 videos and 155 photographs confirming that the accused did commit the crimes as stated in the complaint.

Abdel-Maksoud further pointed that his team is acquiring more evidence against other suspects who attacked the Muslim Brotherhood headquarters in a number of provinces across Egypt and stole their contents.
