Hatem Saleh, Minister of Industry and Foreign Trade, explained that the Ministry has adopted a policy that relies on doubling investments, as it facilitates the granting of operating licenses for new plants and factories every day, and lays the foundation stone for several factories, in addition to removing the obstacles that some factories encounter, to put them on track for powerful progress and increased production.

Saleh pointed that the Ministry is looking to tap into all areas of industry as well as renewable energy. He also said the Ministry is to build a modern aircraft plant for the first time in Egypt, and to establish a Technology Valley in the east of Ismailia (in north-eastern Egypt).

Saleh further affirmed that the coming months will witness greater focus on small and medium-sized enterprises, which will provide many job opportunities for young people across the country.
